Working with Excel in Revit using BIMLOGIQ Copilot

Importing data from Excel into Revit can be a complex task, especially when the data in the Excel file is unstructured or does not align with your schedule structure in Revit. BIMLOGIQ CoPilot streamline this process by scanning the Excel file and matching its values with the relevant parameters in your Revit model.

For instance, imagine you have an Excel file where column A contains the item numbers of plumbing fixtures and column B contains their corresponding asset numbers. With CoPilot, you can:

  1. Open the Excel file directly within the app.

  2. Scan and identify the relevant data.

  3. Automatically import the asset numbers into the a parameter of the corresponding plumbing fixtures in your Revit model.

Prompt:

Open the excel file named 'Plumbing Fixtures Asset Info' from C:\Test and import the asset number of plumbing fixtures. To do this command you need to find the Mark parameter of Plumbing Fixture in Column A of excel file and find corresponding Asset Number in Column B. Then import the Asset Number values to Asset Number of Plumbing Fixtures in the model.
