Rename family names in the Revit project

You can use this public command to rename families, add prefix, suffix, or replace words in family names in Revit. 

First, select the type of elements you want to rename. You can add multiple types by clicking the plus 

Then, select the category of families you want to rename. 

You can narrow down the search by using the filter by name. For example if you want to add a prefix only to single doors you can add word "single" to this filter

You add suffix or prefix to the family names here

And if you want to find a word in family name and replace it with another word you can use the find and replace option
